    Institución científico-cultural creada en 1918 por las Diputaciones Forales de Álava, Vizcaya, Guipúzcoa y Navarra con intención de "ser un recurso estable y duradero para desarrollar la cultura euskalduna". Es una de las pocas instituciones que da cobertura a toda Euskal Herria y la única entidad científica interdisciplinar que se encuentra oficialmente extendida en la Comunidad Autónoma Vasca, la Comunidad Foral de Navarra e Ipar Euskal Herria. Eusko Ikaskuntza cuenta en su seno con dos instituciones que disponen de autonomía propia: la ASMOZ Fundazioa - Fundación Asmoz, creada en 2002 y la Fundación José Miguel de Barandiaran, creada en 1988.

  • Etxepare Basque Institute It is a public agency created by the Basque Government in 2010 with the aim of raising the international profile of the Basque language and culture and creating encounters with other languages and communities, the Etxepare Basque Institute promotes Basque studies in international universities and institutions of higher education through the Basque language and culture readership programme. We also foster research on Euskara and Basque culture through Basque studies chairs created at leading universities around the world.

  • Mercator European Research Centre. Its mission is the acquisition and inventory, research and study, dissemination and application of knowledge in the field of language learning at school, at home and through cultural participation. Its work is mostly focused on the regional and minority languages in Europe, but immigrant languages and smaller state languages are also topics of study.
